It really depends on what you’re looking for, as each season offers a different atmosphere for your proposal in New York City.

Personally, I love autumn in NYC. The colors in Central Park are beautiful, the light is soft and the city feels a bit calmer, which makes it perfect for a romantic and intimate proposal photoshoot.

Spring is also a stunning season, with blooming trees and vibrant parks like Central Park. However, it can be busier, so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a more private moment.

Summer in New York City can be quite hot and humid, especially in the middle of the day. That said, early mornings and sunset are amazing, with beautiful light and a great atmosphere. If you’re dreaming of a golden hour proposal, I’ll help you plan the perfect timing depending on the season.

Winter has its own kind of magic. Even though it’s colder and days are shorter, there are fewer crowds, which means more privacy. Snowy days or cozy winter light can create a very special and unique proposal in NYC.

No matter the season, I’ll help you choose the best timing for your surprise proposal in New York City based on light, crowds and the feeling you want to create.

Of course. Beyond photography, I help you plan your entire surprise proposal in NYC. From choosing the right location and time of day to guiding you on where to stand and how to approach the moment, I make sure everything feels effortless. My goal is for you to enjoy the experience without stress, knowing every detail has been carefully thought out.

Not at all. I specialize in fully discreet surprise proposal photography in NYC, which means your partner won’t suspect anything. I blend into the surroundings like a tourist, often pretending to take photos of the city or the skyline, so I can stay close without drawing attention. This allows you to live the moment naturally, while I capture every emotion in a real and authentic way, without interruptions.

New York City has some of the most iconic and romantic spots for a proposal. Central Park is perfect if you’re looking for something natural and a bit more intimate, while DUMBO in Brooklyn gives you those amazing skyline views. Rooftops like Top of the Rock feel more cinematic and special. I know NYC really well and I’ll help you choose the location that fits your idea best, taking into account light, privacy and the overall vibe you’re going for.

The number of locations depends on the package you choose. If you’re going for a shorter session, like 30 minutes, my recommendation is to focus on one spot such as DUMBO or Central Park so everything feels relaxed and not rushed. If you prefer a longer session, we can combine two areas that are a bit further apart, like Central Park with a rooftop or the Upper West Side, so you get more variety in your photos.

If you’d like more ideas, you can also check my full guide to the best proposal locations in NYC, where I share more spots and some hidden gems around the city.

If it happens to rain on the day of your proposal or engagement photoshoot in New York, we can easily reschedule to another day. I always recommend this option if you prefer to keep the original plan and enjoy the experience without worrying about the weather.

Of course, we can also adapt if needed, but my priority is to help you have the best possible experience in the conditions you really want.

That being said, some of the most magical photoshoots I’ve captured in Madrid have been in the rain. It creates a unique, romantic and cinematic atmosphere, with soft light and almost no crowds.

We can use a transparent umbrella that I’ll bring for you, walk, laugh, kiss or even dance in the rain… just like in a movie. The result feels incredibly natural and special.

In fact, one of my all time favorite proposal photoshoots took place entirely under the rain, and it turned out absolutely beautiful.

It’s completely normal to feel a bit intimidated before your surprise proposal photoshoot in New York City. Many couples tell me they’re worried about not looking natural in front of the camera. My approach as a NYC proposal photographer is to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere where you can simply focus on each other.

After the first few minutes, that initial nervousness disappears and everything starts to feel much more natural. Most couples end up forgetting I’m even there, especially during the proposal moment, which allows me to capture real emotions in an authentic and discreet way.

You don’t need to know how to pose or do anything special, just be yourselves and enjoy the moment. I’ll guide you gently when needed, always keeping things natural so your photos truly reflect your connection.
